The importance of Self-care

After a long day of... well, life I can feel my shoulders creeping closer and closer toward my ears.  The stresses of a typical day for a woman, wife, mom, full-time employee, insert other titles here can feel overwhelming to the point of wanting to disappear for an hour or ten, hide from your kids, or just run away from life.

Women in general are expected to be able to do it all and feel good and look great while doing it, but that is not the reality.  Women that appear to have it all together are either lying, or have a lot of help, which I recommend (the help part, not lying).

I'm sure you've heard it before, but its true, self-care is so important to your physical and mental well-being.  We all need to take care of ourselves, so we don't burn-out.  “The flame that burns Twice as bright burns half as long.” -Lao Tzu
